Our mission at the Center for Human Evolutionary Studies is to promote and support innovative research grounded in evolutionary theory that investigates the foundations of what it means to be human, across both evolutionary time and the present.

CHES supports research in archaeology, paleoanthropology, primatology, human behavioral ecology, genetics, and microbiology across the globe. Through collaborative research, mentorship, and public engagement, CHES trains the next generation of scientists and supports research that informs public health, conservation, and our understanding of the human past and present.

Your contribution directly funds faculty and student research, field projects, and collaborative initiatives.
